The Real Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ) is a practical introductory training session designed to help manufacturing and engineering teams recognise how quality problems affect much more than the cost of a rejected part. Through our Free Engineering Excellence Quality Controls for SME, the session explores the visible and often hidden costs of scrap, rework, additional inspection, machine and labour time, production delays, lost capacity and customer-related failures. Participants are encouraged to look beyond defect numbers and ask a more useful question: “What did this quality problem actually cost our business?” The session introduces simple ways to identify and measure these costs and use that information to focus improvement efforts where they can make the greatest practical difference.
